I am the sort of person who is constantly and consistently amazed. Whether that stems from my own obliviousness or the fact that there are truly innumerable things to be amazed at in this world I cannot say, although I like to believe it’s a mixture of both. There are more things in this world to marvel at than stars in the heavens, and God is always working on new things. Isn’t that wonderful news?! Yes, I think so too! Ponder the words of Habakkuk 1:5 if you don’t believe me:

“be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.”

There’s a chance you won’t even realize the amazing thing right away because sometimes the most amazing things are the things we take for granted every day, like the smile on the faces of others or warm sunlight touching our faces. Those things are amazing! But do not despair if you feel broken, or you feel like nothing amazing or wonderful is happening in or around you. Ask God to heal you and you will be amazed! Think on Joel 2:25:

“God can restore what is broken and turn it into something AMAZING! All you need is faith.”

As long as you don’t lose your faith in God, he will always be planting amazing seed s in your life, so look to him in times of joy and in times of despair. Thank him endlessly and continue to fill your journey in Christ with Hope, Peace, Love, Joy and Amazement! Let us pray:

God, Thank you for all that you do for me. Thank you for filling my life so abundantly with amazing things, all the hope I could ever want, a peace that knows no end, love and joy that I could only have ever dreamed about without you. You are the best parent and friend I have ever known. Please continue to guide my life in wisdom and stature as Jesus grew, Amen.
