Hilltop UMC
A message from the Finance Committee
2020 has been a difficult financial year for many of us, unfortunately, Hilltop is no exception. We greatly appreciate the generosity and faithful giving of our congregation. However, we feel it necessary to communicate the state of our current financial situation.
The Finance Committee is projecting that we will need approximately $800 more in giving in order to meet our 2020 commitments. Certainly the COVID situation ahs had an impact on our finances; many of you are unable to attend or are uncomfortable attending in person worship, which is understandable. If you feel led to give, you may mail your offering to the church, drop it off in the finance mailbox right next to the church office, or please contact Lois Brandstetter, Steve Knudson, or Holly Walton directly for assistance, and one of them will ensure your giving is received in a manner that considers your safety.
Please be aware that in order to receive credit for giving in 2020, the giving must be postmarked by December 31, 2020, or received at the church by December 31, 2020. If the giving is in the form of a check, the check must be dated no later than December 31, 2020 to receive credit in 2020.
In addition, the 2021 giving envelopes are in the Narthex at the church. If you are able, we would appreciate if you could pick up your envelopes and help with distributing to other relatives, friends or neighbors to defray the cost of mailing.
God is always faithful, and we are confident He will see us through these tumultuous times. We pray a blessed Christmas season to each and every one of you.
Yours in Christs,
Hilltop Finance Committee
